The Second Vow Program

An immersive 4-day program for married couples.

What She's Inviting You To

She sent you this, which means she’s been thinking about it a while and finally said something.

Here’s what she wants you to know:

Most men are not bad at marriage. They’re untrained at it.

Nobody teaches this. Not in school, not at home, not anywhere. Men are expected to arrive already knowing it, and then to figure it out quietly when they don’t.

You’ve been running on instinct, but instinct stops working when things get harder.

Four days is enough to learn it.

What You'll Be Able to Do

  • Find out what’s underneath your own reactions, so you stop doing the thing you didn’t want to do and can’t explain afterward.
  • Know what’s actually happening when she’s upset. It’s almost never about you, and once you can see what it is, you’ll know what to do with it.
  • Handle the conversation. Stay in the room when it gets hot, without going quiet and without escalating.
  • Talk about sex, money, and family without it turning into something else. Those three cause most of the fights in most marriages, and almost nobody has ever been taught how to have them.
  • Stop repeating the same argument. You’ll be able to see it coming and change what happens next.

The Program Format

  • Four days. Thursday to Sunday.
  • A handful of other couples working on the same challenges.
  • In person at our office in Santa Ana, CA

It’s structured, with a curriculum, run by someone who’s done this with hundreds of couples.

Immersive, Exercise-Driven

You won’t be sitting in a circle talking about your feelings. Most of it happens on your feet, doing things, with her.

Nobody will tell you that you’re the problem. Both of you do the same work at the same time.

Nobody will ask you to perform, cry on cue, or share things with strangers you don’t want to share.

It won’t be comfortable. You’ll go into things you’ve both been avoiding for years, which is the point.

The Price

This program costs $2,500 per couple. It covers all 4 days for both you and your partner and everything in the program. Payment plans are available.

Put next to what you already know:
Couples counseling in Southern California runs $200 to $350 per session. At the low end, six months of weekly sessions comes to $5,200 and most couples need more than six months.

Questions You Might Have

Why four days?
Weekly or monthly sessions reset. You get somewhere, you leave, time passes, and you’re starting over. Four days straight means nothing resets and you can move forward without six months of traditional counseling.

Is this therapy?
No. There’s no diagnosis, no intake paperwork about your childhood, and nobody is treating you.

Am I going to have to talk about my marriage in front of other men?
What you share is up to you. You’ll be with other married couples who are going through similar challenges and everything in the room is confidential.

Is someone going to tell me I’m the problem?
No. Both of you do the same work at the same time. If the four days were about assigning blame, it wouldn’t work.

What if I don’t want to be there?
Most men don’t, at the start. Nobody holds it against you and nobody needs you to be enthusiastic on Thursday morning. Show up and do the work as it comes.

Do I have to cry?
No. Some people do, some don’t, and neither one means anything. There’s no performance expected from you.

What if things are worse than she thinks?
Then this is the right place for that to come out, with someone in the room who knows what to do with it. It’s a harder four days. It’s still better than another year of not saying it.

What if I’ve already checked out?
Tell us on the call. We’d rather know. Some couples we turn away, and we’ll be straight with you either way.

How much time is this actually?
Thursday and Friday nights. All day Saturday and Sunday.
